THE ISRAELI ASSOCIATION OF ANIMAL-ASSISTED  PSYCHOTHERAPY

The IAAAP was formed in 2007 by a group of animal-assisted therapists who recognized, due to the great degree of variance in training and practice in the field of AAT (Animal-Assisted Therapy), the dire need to define professional standards. According to the standards defined by the IAAAP (as delineated the association's bylaws) Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy (AAP) is practiced by experienced professionals who have been academically trained in a recognized program in the field of AAP, receive consistent professional supervision, and act according to the IAAAP's professional code of ethics.
We invite professional animal-assisted psychotherapists from around the world, as well as students in professional academic programs, to be in contact with the IAAAP.
